Ingredients
1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 bananas- preferably old rotty ones
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon ginger
2 shredded apples
12-16 thin apple slices (1-2 apples, depending on size)
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4-5 drops vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 2 bread pans.
- Mix butter and sugar, then add in bananas, honey, milk, water and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground ginger, and add to first mixture.
- Add in the shredded apples, and set aside.
- Combine 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and 4-5 drops vanilla. Sprinkle this mixture in the bottom of each bread pan, followed by 3 or 4 thin apple slices.
- Evenly pour 1/4 of the batter into each bread pan.
- Place 3-4 more apple slices in each pan.
- Add the rest of the batter on top.
- Bake time is iffy because I forgot to time it...ha. Probably 1 hour, 20 minutes-ish. Check the inside with a knife once the outside starts becoming golden-brown.
